Courier delivery and shipping

As we are not investor-funded, a tiny business, & don't hide delivery costs in our low rental prices, we pass delivery costs from providers to you. Prices reflect the real cost of bike couriers, drivers, etc in San Francisco. Since most people are driving out of town to use our gear, we encourage you to instead take advantage of the time convenience of 24/7 self-service. Stop by the shop on your way in/out of the city regardless of how early/late to save yourself another trip!

Using USPS, FedEx, or UPS. For returns, we can provide a box & shipping label so you just need to drop-off

CON: Require buffer times (no same day service) which may impact rental pricing (e.g., if you need to get gear on Friday, the 'start date' of your order should be Monday for standard 3-5 day* shipping)

Given higher risk of loss, rental items will have deposits. Many aspects vary by country:

Generally pricing is much higher as there are also customs fees; expect to pay at least $100 even for small boxes
Generally takes much longer, e.g., customs processing; even border cities may need 7-10 days

COURIER ON-DEMAND

Calling a bike or car to send the gear directly.

PRO: No lead time (if you order gear for Friday, courier will be called Friday), which means rental pricing not impacted & same day service may be available
CON: Prices generally higher

Currently unavailable; we haven't been able to find a new provider due to COVID.

HOWEVER, we are piloting an $8 delivery and pickup service ourselves. This service isn't on-demand, it operates 9am-11am Monday-Friday (with some exceptions for holidays). For same day delivery, order must be placed by 9am. You can select this service when ordering online.

Notes:

*Business days. Note that standard shipping has buffer days included; for example, standard shipping from San Francisco to San Francisco should be 1 day, but since it's not guarantee-able, 3 days is a good buffer in our experience. Rushed & next day shipping are currently not guaranteed by the shipping companies due to COVID-related issues
**Email us for a quote with 1) gear list (screenshot from our Catalog is best, note that fuel cannot be shipped), 2) address, and 3) date (that you will need gear by, or date that you will be able to send gear back to us)
***Large group orders or bulky items (e.g., crash pads, coolers, tables, 6-person tents) may impact pricing because of bigger boxes or vehicle space required
Above prices are our negotiated shipping rates. Add-ons like insurance or signature may cost extra. You're welcome to make your own arrangements, in which case you are still fully responsible for the gear once it leaves our shop
